Expertise and passion
Seth Godin says most people should have passion about what they do all day, every day, not about the product. Maybe the accountant should have a passion for the numbers, but I've witnessed many employees who have a passion for what their company delivers. Maybe it's pride? OTOH, the CEO better eat, sleep, drink and use the product.
