Hip-Hop Group Tag Team: “Scoop, There It Is!”
I almost lost it!
I almost lost it!
While Mount Rainier often casts her shadow against the sky by blocking the sun, this is the first time I’ve taken a photo where I can see that happening (zoom in for the detail).
My iPhone curates and shows me a different group of my photos every day, and these are from my current set.
Goodbye, 2020! Let’s hope 2021 is better! That’s all.

Here’s a recording of “Joshua” by my Boptrillion band circa 1996. Tosh Kameda (as), Howard Fisher (t), Gary Young (g), Kirk Abe (d), and Bill Berry (b). We rehearsed every week in my living room and played a gig almost every Friday at a Starbucks in Mountain View, CA. We got paid in tips, coffee beans, and all the Frappuccinos we could drink!
It was so much fun creating our own tunes and arranging standards so we’d not sound like everyone else. Maybe do something like that again?
In the meantime, there’s always #JazzChurch! 1-3 pm PST Sunday! 🙂
